Serving as a Senior Company Advisor and Field In-charge since 2002, Mr. Bhattarai has accumulated more than two decades of invaluable experience within the tourism industry.
Mr. Bhattarai's journey in tourism began in 1992 as a porter, a role that provided him with an unparalleled understanding of the Himalayan trails and the intricacies of expedition logistics. Before joining Himalayan Ecstasy Nepal, he further honed his skills by working as a trekking guide for numerous agencies, building immense credibility within the industry.
Known for his passion and vision, Moti has safely and successfully led numerous wilderness trekking and expedition trips across Nepal, India, and Tibet. He is widely regarded as a key figure in ensuring the exceptional success and enjoyment of every trip, not only for clients but also for the porters he works with.
Moti holds several certifications from reputable institutions, including Leadership and Trekking Guide certification from the Government of Nepal, and a First Aid certificate. He has also pursued English language courses, enhancing his ability to connect with international clients.
Beyond his professional achievements, Moti Bhattarai harbors a heartfelt dream: to contribute to education. Driven by his own childhood experience of limited educational opportunities, he has poured his valuable efforts into establishing the "Big Hills Q Learning Community School" in a rural village in Taplejung, a project launched in collaboration with Ms. Lesley Gosling from the U.K. This initiative reflects his deep understanding of education's value and his commitment to giving back to his community.
