Long before the company was officially established, our journey began in the remote hills of Taplejung. Growing up in a village where even small financial support was difficult to access, the founders of Himalayan Ecstasy Nepal learned resilience early in life. And when we were thinking of Kathmandu, it was not just a destination for us. It was A DREAM.

That dream slowly became reality when the Bhattarai brothers began working as porters, carrying heavy loads for foreign trekkers through Nepal’s rugged terrain. Clearly, those early years were not easy!

Trekking during the conflict period in Nepal meant uncertainty, physical hardship, and emotional challenges. But those experiences shaped something deeper: discipline, mountain knowledge, and the determination to build something better in our own home soil.

From Porters to Pioneers…

Himalayan Ecstasy Nepal was first formed in 2004 and became actively operational from 2007, with official registration completed in 2011. But in truth, our services trace back to the 1990s, when our founders began guiding trekkers across Nepal’s most demanding trails.

Growth did not come from aggressive marketing. It came from hard work, honest operations, and strong relationships.

Within just two years of operation, Himalayan Ecstasy Nepal was recommended by the globally recognized Lonely Planet Guidebook. The company was later ranked among Nepal’s top trekking agencies and continued to build a reputation for reliability and professionalism.

Mountaineering excellence runs in the Bhattarai family. Two members of our founding family have successfully summited Mount Everest, and multiple 8,000-meter expeditions have shaped our deep technical understanding of high-altitude climbing. This is not just business knowledge; it is lived experience at the highest level.

In our home district, Taplejung, efforts from our founding family helped establish a Montessori-based school that continues to educate hundreds of children.
