His experience as a competitive trail runner has helped him build good physical fitness, trail knowledge, and confidence in the mountains.

Early Career

Bibek first got involved in the mountains through competitive running, not through traditional trekking. His love for outdoor sports and mountain trails naturally led him toward a career in guiding. He joined the trekking industry in May 2025 and has been building his skills since then.

His sports background has been very useful in his guiding work. It has helped him stay fit, read trails well, and handle outdoor conditions with ease.

Journey in the Travel Industry

Bibek's story in the travel industry started through marathon and trail running events. On June 23, 2018, he won first place at the Sindhupalchok 50km International Trail Race, which shows his strength and dedication in mountain terrain.

Working in running events taught him useful skills like route awareness, pacing, and supporting people in tough outdoor conditions. These skills have helped him become a better trekking guide.
