L.B. Jirel, hailing from Jiri – the classic gateway to Everest Base Camp – is an invaluable and highly regarded member of the Himalayan Ecstasy Nepal team. An English-speaking guide, he brings over two decades of extensive experience in the tourism industry, having served as a Senior Climbing Guide and Instructor with Himalayan Ecstasy since 2007.
L.B. is a distinguished mountaineer, having successfully scaled Mount Everest in 2010 from the North Side (Tibet). His impressive climbing achievements also include numerous ascents of mountains over 7,500 meters, as well as several peaks exceeding 6,500 meters.
His expertise extends beyond the mountains; L.B. possesses diverse practical skills, including experience as an electrician, in plumbing, and civil construction.
A truly well-trained professional, L.B. holds certifications from reputable institutions. He has completed comprehensive mountaineering courses and high-altitude rescue training from the Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA), alongside First Aid certification from KEEP (Kathmandu Environmental Education Project).
